Where a structural defect is identified from general and principal inspections, or bridge capacity assessment, Inertia’s engineers can develop designs for rehabilitating defective bridges and can manage bridge strengthening contracts on the ground.

Our team have carried out bridge rehabilitation design for numerous highway and railway bridges throughout the UK and have experience in designing and supervising complex bridge strengthening projects on some of the busiest sections of the highway and railway network in the UK. Our projects include including the Institution of Civil Engineers Historical Bridges and Infrastructure Award 2010 Commended Wilford Suspension Bridge Project
